As it is only a few weeks till the London to Brighton run I thought I would let how things were going, we have been very busy dealing with the last few bits. Answering emails and checking that everything is booked. However we have some things below were you might be able to help us.
This year to celebrate our 25th Anniversary we would like to put on a show of special editions on Saturday a Crystal Palace there will be a link to let you know which ones these are. These we hope will be on display from 12-4. If you are coming to Crystal Palace on the Saturday and would like to show your mini, which is almost in original condition then please email me on enquires@london-to-brighton.co.uk. The minis need to have the original colour however it does not matter if it re-sprayed and have the original upholstery the more original the better. It will make a lovely sight and one which I have not seen since 40th Anniversary at Silverstone.
Many of you may know that we are having the Army at both Crystal Palace and Brighton they are there to raise money for help the heroes. They are doing this by selling Help the Heroes items and raffling a red mini and stickered for Help the Heroes. I hope you will help this great charity by buying a tickets all the money raised will go to help the injured solider. Another way you can help is by bringing a care package to the park or to Brighton if you are going straight there. For any of you that are unsure what it needs to contain I will get a link put to the leaflet which was sent to each runner. However if you are not a runner but are still going to one of the places then please look at the list and see what you could put in to one. These care packages are sent to solider who is away from home fighting. Please help if you can just think what it must be like to get a gift from home. I will bring shoe boxes to both Crystal Palace and Brighton if you have been unable to get one.
Check out the charity auction site and decide what you would like to bid on this year.
I have also been asked by Jim Darville who is organising the show n’ shine that we would love some new minis to take part in the SNS so if you have a mini that you would like to show then contact Jim direct on jim.darville@lsmoc.co.uk. All show n’ shine participants get an Autoglum Polish Pack
This year we would like to give the Traders the opportunity to put something in the run pack. This is because it is our 25th Anniversary and we like to give them something while giving something to our runners. If you would like to put something in the run pack then email me on enquires@london-to-brighton.co.uk for more information.
For a preview of the show check out the current issue of MiniWorld magazine.
